The HR Operations and Onboarding manager oversees multiple operational processes and drives continuous improvement. The position formulates partnerships across the business to deliver value-added service to management and employees and reflects the business objectives of the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works collaboratively with HR teammates and business partners to develop programs, policies, and solutions that enable success for each business unit and align to company vision
- Fosters a team culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational efficiencies
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Assists with preparing reports for internal clients, as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
HR Operations Responsibilities:
- Creates SOPs and assists in maintaining polices and employee facing documentation
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to drive continuous improvement in the HR department
Onboarding Responsibilities:
- Will drive process improvement in onboarding including vendor relations, education on the process for business leaders, and streamlining the number of processes the team executes
- Oversees and manages the onboarding team and onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth and positive transition into the company
- Analyzes trends and metrics to demonstrate process improvement and improve KPIs
Workday Responsibilities:
- Configuration knowledge of workday recruiting and onboarding modules are necessary
- Will partner with HR Technology team to improve existing integrations and build new integrations and status reports
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Experience leading a team required
- Onboarding experience required
- Experience leading process improvements required
- Prior experience with Workday (HRIS) required
- 5+ years of human resources experience required; multiple disciplines strongly preferred
- Proven ability to connect with a wide range of audiences and build quick rapport
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service
- Driven to move quickly and motivated to deliver; Able to manage time under pressure and within time constraints
- Able to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities
- Adaptable and able to embrace the grey with a positive attitude
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
- Organized, with strong attention to detail
- Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Proven experience in negotiating situations to a mutually beneficial outcome.
- Maintains a continuous improvement mindset, consistently looking for ways to deliver a stronger, more efficient employee experience
- Proficient with the Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Position is remote.
- Occasional travel up to 5% of the time
- This role supports employees and leaders across the organization, which requires flexibility as occasional meetings may occur outside of normal business hours
