Role OverviewThe HR Manager will own and strengthen Muvr’s core people operations, policies, and employee programs. This role is responsible for the full employee lifecycle, employee relations, compliance, performance management support, and the operating rhythms that help the organization scale effectively.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, create consistency across teams, and balance employee experience with business execution. You will report to executive leadership and work closely with department heads across the company.
Key Responsibilities1) People Operations and HR Strategy- Own day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, HR documentation, and employee support workflows.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, and people programs that support growth and operational consistency.
- Build strong HR operating discipline through clear templates, checklists, approvals, and documentation standards.
- Establish and maintain an HR operating cadence, including metrics, weekly priorities, issue tracking, and stakeholder updates.
- Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve administrative efficiency, documentation quality, process consistency, and overall execution.
- Serve as a trusted HR partner for employee relations matters, conflict resolution, investigations intake, and escalation management.
- Coach managers on performance management fundamentals, including setting expectations, delivering feedback, documenting issues, and handling corrective action appropriately.
- Support role clarity and development planning to reduce ambiguity and improve team performance.
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, professionalism, respect, and high standards.
- Ensure HR practices align with applicable employment laws, labor requirements, and internal company policies.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready documentation for employee files, policy acknowledgments, and sensitive personnel actions.
- Advise leadership on people-related risks, mitigation plans, and documentation requirements for high-stakes decisions.
- Partner with Legal and Finance as needed on sensitive cases, payroll-related inputs, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, org design, and role clarity as business needs evolve.
- Support recruiting processes, compensation planning inputs, promotions, and internal mobility decisions.
- Help develop learning, development, and engagement initiatives that strengthen capability and retention.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and communication rhythms that build trust, alignment, and transparency.
- Gather and act on employee feedback through lightweight, high-signal channels and mechanisms.
- Support company values, inclusion, and culture norms through clear systems, consistent enforcement, and recognition of the right behaviors.
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or HR leadership roles.
- Strong working knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, and employment law fundamentals.
- Experience coaching managers and partnering effectively with cross-functional leadership teams.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive issues calmly, fairly, and professionally.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities and evolving needs.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills, with high attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity, quality, and decision support, with sound judgment and a willingness to learn emerging AI workflows responsibly.
- Experience in startups, tech, marketplaces, logistics, or operationally complex companies.
- HR certification such as SHRM, PHR, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting distributed and/or frontline workforces.
- Familiarity with tools and systems such as Slack, Google Workspace, ChatGPT, ClickUp, Hubstaff, Deel and other role-relevant productivity and collaboration tools.
