What you’ll do
⦿ Strategic HR Leadership: Act as the trusted HR advisor and key people partner for three manufacturing sites—Bucyrus (on-site leadership), Covington, KY and Portland, OR (remote support). Provide strategic insights and hands-on execution to support workforce strategy, engagement, and organizational capability.
⦿ Talent and Leadership Development: Lead talent planning, succession, people planning, and leadership development initiatives tailored to each site’s unique needs.
⦿ Employee Relations and Performance Management: Manage employee relations, conduct investigations, oversee performance management, and lead critical hiring and change management efforts.
⦿ Data-Driven Decision Making: Use people data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities, proactively researching and addressing workforce challenges with a strategic mindset.
⦿ Business Partnership and Influence: Influence and coach site leadership to make informed HR decisions, demonstrating autonomy and strong judgment in a matrixed environment.
⦿ Travel Requirements: Primarily based in Bucyrus with regular on-site presence; occasional travel to Covington and Portland for site visits and relationship building (estimated once or twice per year).

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:
⦿ Proven HR experience in manufacturing, 'blue collar' or heavy industrial/shop-floor environments.
⦿ Ability to operate independently and autonomously across multiple sites within a matrixed organization.
⦿ Experience working within an HR model supported by Centers of Excellence and shared services is a plus.
⦿ Strong judgment, credibility, employee relations expertise, and practical problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves:
⦿ Background in multi-site HR management or regional HR roles.
⦿ Analytical mindset with the ability to proactively identify trends and recommend solutions.
⦿ Hands-on approach with a passion for engaging directly with shop-floor employees and leadership.
⦿ Experience coaching and influencing site leaders without direct reporting authority.
