Overview:  

The HR Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of HR activities across North Macedonia and Serbia, providing day-to-day HR support to employees and managers and ensuring compliance with local employment legislation and company policies. 

The HR Manager works closely with the Global Head of HR and supports the Talent Acquisition Manager and Learning & Development Manager in delivering their respective activities locally. 
 

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities: 

  • Employee Relations: Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, absence, grievances and other employee issues. Manage employee relations cases and escalate complex matters to the Global Head of HR. 
  • Performance Management: Coordinate and support the performance management process across North Macedonia and Serbia, ensuring timely completion of reviews, supporting managers with performance-related matters and participating in calibration processes. 
  • HR Compliance & Policies: Ensure HR practices comply with local employment legislation and company policies. Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and identify local legal or compliance requirements that need to be addressed. 
  • Employee Engagement: Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys and local HR activities. Work with managers to follow up on employee feedback and implement appropriate actions. 
  • Recruitment & Onboarding Support: Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with recruitment activities, including interviewing candidates and provide local HR support throughout the onboarding process. 
  • Learning & Development Support: Support the Learning & Development Manager with the implementation of learning and development initiatives in North Macedonia and Serbia, including coordination and communication with employees and managers. 
  • HR Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate HR information and provide relevant HR data and reports to the Global Head of HR. Monitor key local HR metrics and identify trends or areas requiring attention. 
  • HR Administration Oversight: Work with the HR Assistant to ensure HR administrative processes and employee documentation are completed accurately and on time. 

 

Objectives:

  • HR requests and employee relations matters are addressed within agreed timelines, with appropriate escalation of complex or high-risk cases.  
  • Maintain 100% completion and accuracy of required employee documentation, HR processes and local compliance activities, with no avoidable HR-related audit findings.  
  • Deliver agreed local engagement actions and achieve at least 90% completion of actions arising from employee feedback/eNPS within the agreed timelines. 

 

Compliance Requirements:  

The employee is required to comply with all applicable data protection and information security policies and procedures relevant to its role. This includes actively supporting the principles of privacy by design and confidentiality when handling personal and health-related information, as applicable to its role.
 

 

The employee shall:
 

  • Ensure appropriate handling of personal and health information in line with confidentiality and integrity standards;  
  • Report suspected data breaches or security incidents promptly;  
  • Follow established access control, data classification, and secure communication protocols;  
  • Participate in mandatory training and audits related to information security and data protection;   
  • Apply the company's best practices and guidance to safeguard information assets and support the company's compliance;  
  • Practice responsibilities as defined in the Information Security Policy in accordance with the employee’s role.  

 

Previous Experiences/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing wide variety of HR activities: policy creation, employee issues, employee engagement, recruitment, compliance 
  • Experience working in a regulated or ISO environment would be an advantage 
  • Agility: deal with day-to-day matters in addition to delivery of annual plans 
  • Highly organized and be able to manage conflicting priorities in a calm manner 
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • Able to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization 
  • Able to work independently and identify own priorities 

Skills Required

  • Previous experience managing a broad range of HR activities, including policy creation, employee issues, employee engagement, recruitment, and compliance
  • Experience working in a regulated or ISO environment
  • Ability to manage day-to-day matters while delivering annual plans
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities calmly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
