About the RoleWe're looking for a curious, organized, and people-first HR Intern to join our People team and play a hands-on role in how JonnyPops hires, welcomes, and supports its growing team. This internship is built for someone who wants real exposure to talent acquisition and onboarding at a high-growth CPG company, the work is meaningful, the pace is quick, and you'll see the direct impact of what you do on every new hire who walks through our doors.
What You'll DoTalent Acquisition Support (primary focus)- Schedule phone screens, on-sites, and panel interviews across multiple hiring managers and candidates
- Maintain candidate records and pipeline status in JazzHR (our ATS)
- Help post and refresh open roles on JazzHR, LinkedIn, and Indeed
- Assist with sourcing and resume screening for high-volume and corporate roles
- Send candidate communications confirmations, prep notes, status updates, and thank you with the warmth and professionalism candidates expect from JonnyPops
- Support candidate experience initiatives (interview prep materials, candidate surveys, follow-ups)
- Prepare new hire materials: welcome packets, Day 1 schedules, JonnyPops swag, name plates, and workspace setup
- Coordinate Day 1 logistics building tours, IT pickup, badge access, and 1:1 calendar invites with stakeholders
- Help build and refine onboarding schedules and 30/60/90-day plans alongside the TA Coordinator
- Track onboarding tasks and follow up with hiring managers and cross-functional partners (IT, Facilities, Payroll) to keep things on rails
- Contribute to our Intern Onboarding program rollout a Q2 company priority
- Draft and send internal communications: new hire announcements, scheduling messages, follow-ups
- Maintain employee records, files, and SharePoint folders with accuracy and confidentiality
- Audit and standardize HR documentation, templates, and workflows
You'll also get a window into the wider People function sitting in on benefits enrollment conversations, observing payroll cycles, supporting employee engagement events, and learning how a small but mighty HR team partners with leaders across Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Operations.
Qualifications- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior at an accredited college or university
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Management, Organizational Psychology, Marketing, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional tone appropriate for candidate-facing and internal communications
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential employee and candidate information appropriately
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work in-person at our Plymouth, MN office, with occasional travel to our Elk River manufacturing facility
- Available to work the full duration of the internship (approximately 30 to 40 hours per week)
- Additionally: This candidate would be wanting to continue part time hours after the summer internship time frame. (Can be done remotely)
Food Safety Responsibilities:
· Follow companywide GMPs, as is expected of all personnel.
o Foundational GMPs training will be provided.
· Adhere to task specific food safety practices, where relevant.
Skills Required
