Position Summary
C.R. Crawford Construction is seeking an intern to assist with human resources and internal marketing functions. This position will report to the HR director while collaborating cross-functionally with marketing and business development functions. The intern will gain experience in HR administration and coordination, the construction industry, and some marketing functions.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Human Resources & Marketing teams in various efforts, including:
- Employee Communication: Own the monthly internal newsletter sharing company updates, reminders, new hire bios, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
- HRIS: Maintain employee profiles in the HRIS platform and Microsoft Office
- Orientation: Assist in new hire orientation efforts, including by ordering nametags, desk placards, and business cards
- Employee engagement: Help coordinate initiatives and events
- Company Culture: Work to uphold and perpetuate the company culture
- Social Media: develop and share posts depicting company news and branding
Learning Outcomes:
Through this internship, the selected candidate will gain practical experience in HR administration, employee communications, onboarding support, HRIS data management, employee engagement, event coordination, and marketing and social media support within a commercial construction environment.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based. The intern may occasionally assist with event setup, carry light materials, stand or walk during company events, and travel locally for company activities as needed.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Coursework in an accredited university towards a degree in business, human resources, marketing, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience creating graphics in Canva
- Experience managing a professional social media presence
Skills Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in business, human resources, marketing, or a related field at an accredited university
