Job Description:
HR Head – Poland & Ukraine
Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid working)
We are seeking an experienced HR Head for Poland & Ukraine to act as a strategic people partner to the General Manager and Leadership Teams, supporting business growth and organisational effectiveness across both countries.
The role
Reporting to the Regional HR Lead EMM, you will lead and execute the local people strategy for Poland and Ukraine, ensuring alignment with global HR priorities while responding to local market and organisational needs. You will play a pivotal role in shaping culture, strengthening leadership capability and ensuring a compliant, engaging and high-performing organisation.
Key responsibilities
Act as a trusted HR business partner to the General Manager and Leadership Teams, translating business strategy into effective people initiatives.
Provide expert guidance on organisation design, workforce planning, succession and leadership development.
Lead employee relations activities in partnership with managers and external legal counsel where required.
Oversee talent acquisition, talent development and succession planning, including support for Leadership Team roles.
Partner closely with HR Centres of Excellence (Talent, Compensation and Benefits, HR Operations, Learning and Development) to deliver integrated solutions.
Drive employee engagement, culture initiatives and programmes such as Great Place to Work.
Manage HR operations, analytics and reporting, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Own the local HR budget and ensure cost control and compliance.
Act as a role model for company values, ethics and ways of working.
About you
You are a senior HR leader with strong business acumen, comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed organisation and advising senior stakeholders.
Essential requirements
10+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources, ideally within an international or matrix organisation.
Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing at Leadership Team level.
Strong knowledge of employee relations, talent management, organisational design and HR operations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
Education and languages
Master’s degree in HR, Business or a related field; CIPD membership is strongly preferred.
Fluent English and Polish are required.
