Job Title: HR Generalist

Reports To: HR Manager
Location: [On-site Vernon, CA]
FLSA Status: [Exempt]

We are looking for a HR Generalist to help our growing team!

The HR Generalist will oversee recruitment, employee relations, workers' compensation and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a trusted HR contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues
  • Support employee relations investigations and issue resolution
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate full‑cycle recruiting: posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews
  • Assist hiring managers with selection and offer processes
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation

HR Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
  • Prepare HR documentation such as offer letters, employment verifications, and disciplinary records
  • Support offboarding processes, including exit interviews

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions
  • Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc.) as applicable
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and payroll

Compliance & Policies

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support audits and HR reporting requirements
  • Assist in updating and communicating HR policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of HR experience in a generalist or similar role

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Be a role model for Integrity, Courage and Conviction

Education

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration (or related field) preferred
