JOB DESCRIPTION
The HR Generalist is an entry-level role responsible for supporting employees and managers with general HR inquiries and managing transactions across the full employee life cycle. This role plays a key part in delivering efficient, high-quality HR services and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in HR processes and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Handle routine HR inquiries and manage them through completion in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct HR transactions, including new hire orientation, leaves of absence, exit meetings, and other employee life-cycle activities
- Process HRIS transactions while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and quality
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, processes, and self-service tools; escalate issues to internal Centers of Excellence (COEs) or external resources as needed
- Participate in and assist with site and employee engagement events
- Support departmental HR projects and initiatives as required
- Define, develop, and maintain clear and concise documentation for procedures, work processes, and reports
- Collect, analyze, and prepare HR-related data and visual materials, including scorecards and dashboards, as needed
- Perform root-cause analysis using data to identify performance gaps and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer service
- Occasionally assist with vacation coverage, job fairs, or special HR events
- Minimum of 1 year of HR-related experience (internships or entry-level experience considered)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- SHRM certification (or progress toward certification) is a plus
- Experience working with HRIS systems
- Interest in HR process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
