Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.
The HR Generalist plays a critical role in bridging the gap between HR operations and business strategy. We are seeking a curious, data-driven professional to join our Workforce Solutions team. Beyond providing comprehensive support to our employees and management, you will be a key contributor to workforce planning and data analysis. As a trusted advisor, you will ensure our HR programs are not only compliant but are evolving alongside our business objectives. The role is hybrid with in-office days rotating between our Maryland Heights and Clayton offices. The role reports to the VP of HR.
What you’ll do:Partner with HR Business Partners to translate business goals into people requirements. You will help identify talent gaps, track headcount movement, and assist in modeling future hiring needs to ensure our team is scaled for success.
Support onboarding, offboarding, and performance management with a "growth mindset." We want you to look at our current workflows and ask, "Is there a more efficient or engaging way to do this?"
Contribute to HR initiatives. You’ll be encouraged to research HR trends and best practices to help keep our Workforce Solutions team ahead of the curve. Examples include, but are not limited to: Compensation planning, talent review, performance calibration and goal setting.
Move beyond basic reporting. You will analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, compensation) to identify trends and provide data that helps influence leadership decisions.
Serve as a point of contact and provide HR support for employees in Technology, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Security and Data & Analytics functions.
Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) on employee engagement and talent development, treating every project as an opportunity to expand your HR toolkit.
Ensure we stay aligned with employment laws while helping us evolve our internal policies to stay modern and inclusive. Rather than just citing the handbook, you’ll dig deep into employee relations issues, assist with investigations, and recommend appropriate actions in line with company policies and legal requirements.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-5 years of progressive HR experience where you have demonstrated taking on new challenges
Demonstrated experience working with HR data. You should be comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, basic formulas) to track headcount, turnover, or other key metrics.
Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain HR processes or data trends to a variety of stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Intellectual curiosity: you are someone who asks questions, seeks feedback, and enjoys learning new systems and working through complex problems
Experience supporting Technology, Engineering, or high-growth functions where workforce needs change rapidly.
Proficiency with Workday (specifically reporting or lifecycle management) and Google Workspace.
Prior exposure to headcount tracking, organizational design, or assisting with talent gap analyses.
Demonstrated experience supporting change management or organizational development initiatives.
