Job Description

At JDE Peet’s, we’re looking for a mid-level HR Generalist who’s ready to make a visible and meaningful contribution. In this role, you’ll be the engine behind our people operations in Romania - making sure payroll runs smoothly, onboarding feels personal, and every HR touchpoint reflects our values of transparency, care, and growth.

This role serves as the primary HR contact for employees in Romania and reports to the HR Country Manager. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and trusted partners to keep our processes sharp, compliant, and people-first. Whether it’s refining benefits, supporting internal moves, or helping new joiners feel at home, your work will shape a culture where people do their best work - and feel great doing it.

This is a role where structure meets creativity. You’ll have the freedom to improve how we attract, engage, and support our talent - while growing your own skills in a fast-paced, global coffee business that’s all about bold ideas and even bolder brews.

💼 What You’ll Do in a nutshell

🔹 Payroll & Rewards

  • Partner with our payroll provider to ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll runs
  • Support compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, and benefits programs
  • Help design and roll out incentive schemes and annual merit processes

🔹 HR Operations & Admin

  • Keep employee records sharp and compliant (Success Factors + hard copy)
  • Support internal comms, HR events, and engagement initiatives
  • Track changes in employee status, roles, and departments

🔹 Talent & Onboarding

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for roles in Romania, partnering with hiring managers and external agencies where needed
  • Make onboarding an unforgettable (and smooth) experience
  • Collaborate with teams to align hiring with business growth

What You Bring

🎯 What We're Looking For

  • Solid knowledge of Romanian labour law & payroll practices
  • Fluency in both Romanian and English
  • 3–5 years as an HR generalist covering HR admin, payroll, recruitment
  • Experience with HR systems (SAP, HRIS, etc.)
  • Hands-on with onboarding, engagement and performance processes
  • Worked in a multinational or multicultural environment
  • Participated in salary surveys or comp & ben projects
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
