Main Purpose

The main purpose of the HR Generalist at Indeed Flex is to provide generalized support and expertise of the Human Resources function within the department as well as to serve as a counselor and advisor to managers throughout the organization on matters related to Human Resources.

  • Provide HR Management, consultation, and support of initiatives in performance management, organizational development, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, process & policy guidance and improvement, immigration, and legal compliance, ultimately driving business success
  • Partner closely with the payroll department to ensure all employee changes are captured accurately and reflected in upcoming payroll cycles
  • Maintain the organizational chart to ensure it captures promotions, departures, new hires, and any other applicable job changes
  • Maintain digital files for employees and their personnel documents, benefits, discipline, performance reviews, and attendance records
  • Oversee employee labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and state requirements
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resources programs, including compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, training, and development
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review policies and procedures to maintain compliance
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee relationship
  • Take appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and address employee grievances
  • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, harassment, discrimination, or other workplace violations and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data, responsible for providing relevant feedback to the senior leadership team
Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise of the Human Resources field in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated expertise of local, state, and federal employment regulations.
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management.
  • Able to drive projects with impact across entire organization.
  • Able to exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and be creative in addressing a wide range of employee situations.
  • Able to successfully prioritize and execute large, complex projects and initiatives.
  • Able to monitor the pulse of an organization to ensure a high degree of employee engagement and root cause identify concerns when present.
  • Able to champion employee well-being, engagement, development, and strengthen employee relations within the senior leadership team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • High-level of technical acumen and proficiency to learn and utilize new software and technologies quickly to continuously evolve and improve our tech-driven advantage.
  • High-level of analytical and critical thinking skills with a strong drive to investigate, analyze, and resolve simple and complex problems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet conflicting deadlines with minimal direct supervision.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace software suite.
  • Highly proficient with utilizing several tools to enable real-time collaboration with a globally distributed workforce such as Miro, Monday, Salesforce, Google Meet, Zoom, Slack, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR or staffing certification (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, CSP)
  • 2-4 years of experience within the HR field, preferably in a generalist role
  • Proficiency in HRIS software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
