POSITION PURPOSE

The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the employee experience and day-to-day HR operations across the organization, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, Practice Leader support, HR compliance, audits, staffing, and HR Business Partner support. This role serves as a trusted HR resource to Practice Leaders, managers, and employees while ensuring consistent application of HR policies, accurate employee data, and effective HR processes.

The HR Generalist partners closely with HR Business Partners, HR and Operations leadership to support employee lifecycle activities, address employee and leader needs, and execute HR initiatives across the organization.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations & Practice Leader Support

  • Serve as a primary HR resource to Practice Leaders, managers, and employees regarding HR policies, employee relations, performance management, attendance, and other employment matters.
  • Conduct employee relations intake and assist with investigations, documentation, corrective action, and resolution of employee concerns.
  • Partner with HRBPs on escalated employee relations matters and provide support with employee relations trends, leader coaching, and HR initiatives.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality, documentation, and follow-through on sensitive employee matters.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Conduct recurring HR audits to ensure compliance, data accuracy, and adherence to company policies and processes; identify discrepancies and coordinate corrective action.
  • Maintain accurate employee information within the HRIS, including employment status, job titles, reporting structures, and compensation.
  • Support key HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle changes, unemployment claims, verifications of employment (VOEs), and workers' compensation administration.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource across HR functions including benefits, payroll, compensation, leave, staffing, and HR transitions.

Staffing & HRBP Support

  • Partner with Practice Leaders and managers to address recruiting needs and staffing challenges.
  • Provide administrative, analytical, and project support to HRBPs, including reporting, audits, employee data, documentation, and HR initiatives.
  • Support the implementation and communication of HR programs, policies, and organizational initiatives.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Generalist, HR Operations, or HR Business Partner support role.
  • Experience with employee relations, HR compliance, audits, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Experience supporting leaders and managers with employee-related matters.
  • Healthcare or multi-site experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms; Paycom experience highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity when handling sensitive HR matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
