SUMMARY OF DUTIES
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides service and support to designated client groups.
- Consults, counsels and coaches employees and leadership throughout the employment life cycle.
- Facilitates and resolves employee relations issues. Assists in matters of communications between employees and leadership, performance management, conflict resolution, change management, disciplinary action, and explanation and clarification of policies and procedures.
- Analyses data, reports, and metrics to empower understanding of workforce trends and develop solutions, programs, policies and procedures.
- Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Participates, facilitates and/or conducts employee and leadership training programs. Proactively identifies opportunities to address leadership capabilities.
- Conducts exit interviews with employees.
- Assists in development, documentation and implementation of continuous improvement of Human Resource processes, procedures and programs to meet organizational needs.
- Ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the employment process.
- Performs other duties and tasks as required.
- Promote a culture of wellbeing and professional employee services within Merit EMEA.
- Demonstrates a big picture understanding of a commercial business, its interrelations, and priorities.
- Interacts with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Lead and manage various projects throughout the business and implement initiatives.
- Performs other related duties and tasks as required.
MINIMUM SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Dutch and English speaking (Essential), French (Preferable)
- A minimum of five years general Human Resources experience.
- Relevant experience in an international commercial environment.
- A general knowledge of all facets of the human resource function in organizations.
- High level of employee relations experience.
- Ability to interview / select employees at all levels, resolve concerns and obtain employee information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize incisively and demonstrate teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent IT and Communication skills including the use of social media, writing, proofing, and editing skills.
- Comfortable with Data analytics, Project Management, Advanced Excel, and Workday.
- Ability to work well with Senior Leaders and answer questions regarding policies and procedures.
- Experience working on organizational transformation projects
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under strict time constraints.
