Job Summary 

The HR Generalist provides high-quality transactional and operational support across key Global People Resources functions, including recruitment, compensation administration, and global mobility requests and processes. The role ensures timely and accurate execution of HR programs, policies, and procedures while delivering responsive customer service to staff, managers, and HR partners across the agency.

As part of the HR team, the HR Generalist contributes to an effective employee experience by coordinating recruitment activities, supporting compensation-related processes, facilitating global mobility requests, maintaining HR records, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and procedures.


Roles and Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Support

  • Coordinate and support recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and recruitment tracking.
  • Prepare recruitment documentation and ensure required approvals and records are completed and maintained.
  • Support hiring managers and recruiters by providing administrative and process support throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Facilitate pre-employment activities, including candidate documentation and onboarding coordination.
  • Support the preparation of recruitment reports and maintain accurate recruitment data within HR systems.

Compensation Administration Support

  • Process compensation-related transactions and requests in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Support annual and ad hoc compensation processes, including salary adjustments, market movement reviews, and related compensation programs.
  • Maintain compensation records and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct data validation/audits and support preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and compensation analyses.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager inquiries regarding compensation processes and policies, escalating complex matters as appropriate.


Global Mobility Support

  • Coordinate and process employee global mobility requests, including international assignments, transfers, remote work arrangements, and related employment actions.
  • Maintain global mobility records and documentation and monitor process milestones and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate mobility-related activities.
  • Track immigration, payroll, benefits, and compliance-related requirements associated with employee mobility processes.
  • Prepare reports and maintain data related to global mobility activities and trends.
  • HR Operations and Employee Support
  • Maintain employee records and HR system data, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  • Process HR transactions and employment changes in accordance with service standards and established procedures.
  • Provide timely responses to employee and manager inquiries and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
  • Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and data quality initiatives.
  • Support HR projects, process improvements, and special initiatives as assigned.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Required Languages: Fluency, both written and verbal, in English. French or Spanish are an asset. 

Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, compensation, HR operations, or global mobility processes.
  • Experience working with HR information systems and applicant tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting international HR programs within a global organization.
  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud HCM or similar HR systems.
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and service delivery functions.
