Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations and processes that promote operational efficiency and compliance. This role focuses on recruitment, processing internal transfers, and liaising with schools to onboard Students and other Contingent Workers. The HR Generalist ensures all processes align with policies, contracts, and regulations, while maintaining a high standard of service.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and extending offers.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate in the development and refinement of job descriptions.
  • Coordinate interviews and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies.
  • Serve as a resource to managers by providing guidance and clarification on posted and open positions.
  • Ensure recruitment processes are compliant with company policies and union agreements.
  • Assist in extending employment offers to selected external candidates in a timely and professional manner.

Internal Transfers

  • Coordinate transfers for internal candidate selections and prepare transfer letters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable union contracts, maintaining accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Ensure smooth a smooth transition for transferring employees, including collecting documentation, verification of minimum qualifications and processing transactions in Workday.
  • Collaborate with managers and department heads to confirm transfer dates.

Students & Other Contingent Workers

  • Act as the main HR point of contact for Students and other contingent staff, ensuring a positive and consistent experience.
  • Coordinate pre-employment assessment, documentation, system access, orientation sessions and training as required.
  • Work closely with schools and agencies to ensure contingent workers are properly documented and compliant.
  • Monitor progress and gather feedback to improve processes.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Respond to employee inquiries with accurate and comprehensive information, escalating complex issues to appropriate stakeholders, as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee data in HR systems.
  • Assist with basic HR reporting and analytics as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for onboarding as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role preferred.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
