Position Summary
The HR Generalist provides high-level customer service throughout the employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for the end-to-end onboarding experience, ensuring candidates remain engaged from recruitment through their first day. Key duties include conducting comprehensive background checks, maintaining personnel files in compliance with TJC regulations, and managing data entry within our HRIS. This role also supports the HR Compliance team during internal and external audits. This position is available in the Kansas City, MO or St Louis, MO metro area and is hybrid, spending three to four days of the week in the office.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Qualifications: A current valid driver license and auto insurance; proficiency in Word, Excel, and email applications; strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience: Entry-level experience in Human Resources or professional administration; experience working with children and families in a trauma-informed environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers via phone and walk-in interactions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of employee compliance, including background checks, clinical requirements, and I9 documentation.
- Collaborate with training and compliance teams to facilitate and host New Employee Orientation.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of new hire information and employee records in ADP.
- Support business unit audits by gathering and organizing required documentation.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, reports, and exit surveys.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
