Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled Regional HR Director to join our Human Resources (HR) team in the Asia region. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, coaching, and operational oversight to a team of Regional HR professionals across multiple countries. You will be instrumental in managing complex operational HR matters, including performance management, ethics investigations, reorganisations, and reduction-in-force programs, ensuring a compliant, high-performing, and respectful workplace culture across the region.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
Lead and Develop Regional HR Teams: Lead, coach, and manage a team of HR professionals across multiple countries (including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, and Philippines), providing expert guidance on complex employee matters and local labor law compliance.
Drive Strategic Regional Execution: Provide subject matter expertise and regional input to HR Centres of Excellence (CoEs) and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), supporting the implementation of global HR strategies and overseeing key operational activities such as Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and organisational change.
Ensure HR Consistency and Compliance: Oversee consistent and legally compliant HR service delivery in a highly matrixed environment, ensuring that local practices are aligned with global policies and maintaining a positive and legally sound employee experience across all territories.
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources leadership, with at least 3 years managing and developing regional or multi-country HR teams.
Strong knowledge of complex employee relations, risk management, and employment law across multiple Asia-based countries, including experience with union and employee representative interactions.
Proven ability in cross-cultural communication, influence, and stakeholder management in a complex, matrixed organisation environment.
Professional HR certification such as Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional/Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP/SCP), or a local equivalent.
