Job Title: HR Director
Department: Human Resources

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Gilbert)
We are seeking an experienced HR Director to serve as a key member of the Rigid Industries leadership team, responsible for leading, developing, and implementing HR strategies and programs that align with the company's business goals. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong foundation in HR practices, coupled with proven leadership experience. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of HR operations while partnering closely with site leadership to foster a positive, performance-driven culture.
Essential Responsibilities and Functions
HR Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the HR function for Rigid, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Support, develop, and execute HR strategies that support the company’s business objectives and drive organizational effectiveness in collaboration with Clarience’s global HR team, ensuring a unified HR delivery approach.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on HR policies, employment law, and best practices.
- Support organizational development initiatives, workforce planning, and succession planning.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigating and addressing employee concerns, complaints, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment legislation.
- Partner with leadership team to identify and address workplace challenges.
- Foster a culture of open communication and lead initiatives to enhance organizational culture, employee engagement, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Manage performance management systems and provide coaching to line managers.
Recruitment & Talent Management:
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes for hourly and salaried roles, including job postings, candidate screenings and interviewing, partnering with internal stakeholders and external agencies as needed to attract and retain top talent.
- Support onboarding, training, and development initiatives.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Manage compensation, benefit, and performance management programs to ensure market competitiveness of programs and to evaluate employee performance for development.
- Oversee payroll processing and compliance in Workday.
- Administer annual merit and bonus planning processes as well as open enrollment.
- Monitor and manage the HR budget.
- Ensure HR records, systems, and documentation are accurate and compliant with regulations and employment law.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Prepare HR reports and monitor and analyze HR metrics to drive data-driven decisions and report on HR activities and outcomes to senior management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive, professional leadership experience in human resources management.
- Proficiency with HR information systems, preferably Workday.
- Proven ability to handle ER cases with confidence and professionalism.
- Experience with a private equity owned business and M&A transactions preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a strategic mindset with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Proactive, results-oriented, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Proven business partnering, consultative skills and ability to create a culture of adaptability and accountability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records.
