Director of Human ResourcesFull-Time | Reports to the General ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead and strengthen all aspects of the Human Resources function. This role is responsible for developing people-focused strategies, ensuring compliance, supporting leadership, and cultivating a positive workplace culture. - Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including OSHA, EEO, ERISA, and wage and hour requirements.
- Develop employee engagement strategies that support satisfaction, retention, morale, and a positive workplace culture.
- Design and oversee onboarding and offboarding programs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with legal counsel, government agencies, brokers, consultants, carriers, and external partners.
- Oversee required reporting, regulatory submissions, and HR documentation.
- Protect company and employee interests through consistent policy application and sound employment practices.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, termination decisions, and employee appeals.
- Oversee compensation strategies, salary benchmarking, and benefits programs, including enrollment and billing.
- Monitor HR program effectiveness, cost containment, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee recruiting, placement, retention, and executive-level hiring processes.
- Prepare and present HR reports and workforce metrics to executive leadership.
- Handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and talent management.
- Demonstrated ability to advise executives and managers with sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR preferred.
- Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive employee matters with integrity.
