HR Lead LAMEX, Director

Job Description:

This strategic position is responsible for driving the HR agenda across the cluster, ensuring alignment with the company's global objectives while tailoring priorities to meet cluster and market operations and cultural needs. The HR Lead will play a pivotal role in fostering an engaging, inclusive, and high-performing work environment, enabling business success through effective people strategies.

As a trusted strategist, tech-savvy catalyst, and culture weaver - fluent in both data and emotion, you won’t just support the business - you’ll help reinvent it.

Key Responsibilities:

Understanding the Business

-        Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the financial, organisational, and cluster goals, challenges & strategic landscape. Speaks in business outcomes, not just people processes.

-        Strategic Thinking: Operates with high autonomy to develop and own HR strategy; Aligns HR strategies with business objectives, shapes proactive workforce strategies.

-        Drives Effectiveness: Acts as a consultant to enable organisation, team and individual effectiveness through coaching and feedback to support the realization of the business objectives.

 

Experience Expert

-        Culture Designer: Architects inclusive, adaptive cultures where innovation thrives; consults on and designs effective engagement strategies.

-        Cross-Cultural Leadership: Operates effectively across highly diverse cultures, labor markets, and regulatory environments in LAMEX

-        People Advocacy: Advocates for employees’ wellbeing, balancing their needs with business objectives

-        Values-Led, Empathy Driven: Balances transparency and empathy; coaches’ leaders to ‘Be Real’, authentic & vulnerable.

-        Negotiator and expert of the pharmaceutical environment: shape the well-being culture of the company through conversations with internal and external stakeholders understanding founders‘needs and in alignment with trends in the pharmaceutical environment and in the current political agenda (gender parity; diversity & inclusion; whistleblowing, etc.)

Change Navigator

-        Change Programs: Skilled in designing, managing and leading transformational change within the organisation in line with company vision and strategy in collaboration with L&D

-        Communication & Collaboration: Influences decision making, builds relationships, and operates across borders to guide leaders and support employees through transitions.

-        Connector: ‘Connects the dots’ through relationships and navigates the matrix to enable organisational harmony; Partners as One HR to optimise the HR ecosystem & advance overarching HR Programs.

 

 

Talent Strategist

-        Strategic Talent Management: Talent profiling/acquisition, career planning, growth (reskilling/upskilling), and retention.

-        Leadership Pipelining: Leads succession planning and implements talent programs to support business objectives; Coaches for Leadership effectiveness.

-        Talent Agent: Creates internal talent marketplaces, enable gig/flex opportunities, and break down silos for career fluidity.

Digital, Data & Tech Enabled

-        Digital Agility: Leverages digital capabilities to enhance HR processes, create efficiencies, and drive results.

-        Data-driven Outcomes: Skilled in collecting, analysing & interpreting data to forecast, and drive decisions; Uses metrics to track performance, engagement, retention and the impact of HR on business outcomes

-        AI & Tech Enablement:  Unites technology & HR strategy to guide on AI implications for the future of work (organisation design, roles & capabilities, performance & effectiveness); leverages AI/tech for self, team and function benefit.

 

 Employee Relations

-        Legal compliance: The HR lead ensures that all company practices are fully compliant with labor laws and union regulations.

-        Manage extraordinary operations: The HR lead must understand both global and local strategic inputs in the execution of reorganizations that impact employees. The HR lead must coordinate with the Board of Directors to define implementation strategies in compliance with legal regulations and with respect and care for the people involved.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sociology; Political Science; Work Psychology Business Administration, Law, or related field; advanced degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, within a matrixed HR model, including leadership roles in a pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare company.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Collaborator and connector across the cluster, above market and global teams – ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization to move priorities forward.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR analytics.
    • Fluent English (both written and spoken).
