Job Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Human Resources Development & Recruiting role plays a critical role in creating a positive and engaging employee experience from the first point of contact through successful onboarding and integration into the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating internal and external recruiting activities, conducting interviews, managing temporary employee conversions, supporting new hire onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate employee records. The ideal candidate is passionate about employee onboarding, relationship building, organization, and delivering exceptional support to new hires, hiring managers, and staffing partners.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal and external candidate interviews for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and candidate requirements.
  • Coordinate interview schedules and candidate communications.
  • Maintain candidate tracking and hiring documentation.
  • Support recruitment events, job fairs, and community outreach initiatives as needed.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for temporary staffing agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with staffing partners.
  • Monitor temporary employee performance, attendance, and eligibility for conversion.
  • Coordinate and process temporary-to-permanent employee conversions.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Manage the complete onboarding process for new hires.
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements and onboarding activities.
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding materials and new hire paperwork.
  • Organize and facilitate new employee orientation sessions.
  • Ensure a welcoming and positive first-day experience for all new employees.
  • Partner with department leaders to support successful employee integration and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company employment regulations.
  • Complete regular audits of employee files and HR documentation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems.
  • Verify and process employment documentation, policy acknowledgments, and onboarding forms.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Protect the confidentiality of employee information.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding onboarding, policies, benefits, and HR processes.
  • Assist with employee status changes and personnel transactions.
  • Support HR programs, initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
  • Generate reports and maintain HR metrics as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for various HR functions and special projects.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities outlined above, as well as other related responsibilities and assignments as directed by management or authorized personnel.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, onboarding, or employee relations preferred.
  • Experience working with staffing agencies and temporary workforce management is strongly preferred.
  • Manufacturing or production environment experience is preferred.
