The Role / Position Overview
The HR Data, Insight & Reward Manager is a key role within the FT’s HR team, responsible for leading all aspects of the people analytics, reporting, and reward functions. This position runs a small team and works closely with other departments and senior stakeholders to provide informative data-driven recommendations, ensure the integrity of compensation structures, and drive the HR systems digital transformation. The ideal candidate will have sophisticated Workday configuration skills, particularly in report writing, security administration, and business process configuration, and possess excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Manage a team of two technical specialists in HR.
- Provide mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Prepare regular quarterly people and engagement reports.
- Utilise sophisticated data analytics to provide actionable insights for HR and business leaders.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data.
- Reward Function Management:
- Maintain the job architecture and ensure up-to-date pay ranges.
- Lead all aspects of the preparation and delivery of compensation statements.
- Lead compensation benchmarking and reward processes, addressing ad hoc benchmarking requests from the business.
- Prepare and deliver regular presentations on compensation and reward strategies.
- Union Negotiations:
- Participate in union negotiations (US & UK), providing data-driven insights to support this process.
- Collaborate with Editorial and HR management to address compensation and reward-related matters related to unions.
- HR Systems Digital Transformation:
- Drive the advancement of HR systems, focusing on digital transformation.
- Maintain and configure Workday, with a particular focus on report writing, security administration, and configuration.
- Ensuring data integrity, privacy and security within all HR systems.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain a relationship with key partners in the Tech and Finance departments.
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR data, insight, and reward matters.
- Communicate sophisticated data insights in a clear and compelling manner.
Required skills and experience:
- Official Workday training (Security and Report Writing minimum)
- Proven experience in HR data analytics and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with compensation benchmarking and reward processes is helpful.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with G-suite.
- Ability to lead a team
