Position Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the HR department. Key functions include managing employee records, facilitating the recruitment process, onboarding new staff, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This position serves as a primary contact for employee inquiries and requires high attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain efficient HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and coordinating new hire orientations.
- Records Management: Maintaining accurate, confidential electronic and physical employee records, including updating HRIS databases
- Compliance & Policies: Ensuring adherence to labor laws, regulations (e.g., OSHA), and company policies.
- Benefits & Payroll: Assisting with benefits administration, open enrollment, and processing payroll for employees or temporary staff.
- Employee Relations: Acting as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Administrative Support: Drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and organizing employee files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR administration or coordinator roles.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
