Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a HR Compensation Specialist l for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities
- Administers compensation-related processes and programs for internal associates and the sales force, ensuring accurate and timely execution of position changes, adjustments, and submissions
- Responds to inquiries from internal associates and sales team regarding compensation, providing clear and accurate explanations and solutions
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of compensation and position adjustments, updates, and payouts, collaborating closely with Payroll and HR teams
- Maintains knowledge of compensation laws and regulations to uphold compliance in all areas of responsibility
- Partners with Compensation Assistance Manager to interpret and apply compensation guidelines and policies accurately
- Supports the implementation of compensation process improvements
- Follows proper approval processes for internal associate and sales force compensation increases
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance compensation-related communication materials and training programs
- Assists with analyzing position job functions to make FLSA designation determinations
- Performs audits and data validations to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of compensation, position, and workforce information
- Supports annual compensation planning activities, including the processing of related personnel actions and document administration
- Administers compensation programs and submissions for sales incentive, bonus, and development programs
- Creates, maintains, and updates position descriptions, job titles, and related compensation documentation in alignment with organizational guidelines and business needs
- Benchmarks and appropriately communicates compensation data as requested by management to ensure fair and accurate compensation practices
- Processes employment verification requests and maintains accurate employment and compensation records to support timely and compliant responses
- Reviews compensation portions of the Company Handbook and Sales Policy Manual on a quarterly basis to maintain accuracy
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in HR
- Proficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- A SHRM-CP certification or plan to achieve
- The ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- The successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period

This role is Monday- Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. The role is onsite located in Columbus Ohio.
