Job Summary:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a key partner to business leaders, supporting the execution of talent strategies that align with business objectives. Working closely with leaders and HR Centre’s of Excellence (COEs), the HRBP provides guidance on workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and HR programs.

The HRBP uses data and insights to support decision-making, addresses employee and organizational needs, and contributes to building a positive, high-performing culture.

What you will do:

HR Partnership & Execution

  • Partner with leaders to support the delivery of HR programs and talent initiatives aligned with business priorities.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee lifecycle matters including performance management, development and employee relations.         

  • Support implementation of workforce plans by identifying talent needs and partnering with Talent Acquisition.

  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and programs are applied consistently and in compliance with employment legislation.

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, addressing day-to-day HR matters.

 

Data & Insight-Driven Support

  • Use HR dashboards and analytics to identify trends in engagement, turnover, and performance.

  • Translate data into practical insights and recommendations for managers.

  • Support the adoption of HR technologies and tools to enhance manager effectiveness.

 

Talent Management

  • Support talent review, succession planning, and development planning processes.

  • Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and development opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support hiring needs aligned to workforce plans.

 

Employee Engagement & Development

  • Analyze engagement survey results and support action planning with leaders.

  • Coach managers and provide feedback on how to navigate performance conversations, and employee development plans.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Provide support on employee relations matters, escalating complex issues as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.

  • Support investigations and resolution of workplace concerns in partnership with Employee Relations.

What you bring:

Experience & Education

  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience, including HRBP or generalist roles.

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.

  • CHRP designation (or working toward) preferred.

  • Experience supporting core HR functions (talent management, employee relations, recruitment, performance management).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Solid understanding of HR policies, programs, and employment legislation.

  • Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.

  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.


The expected annual base salary range for this role is: $86,000 - $131,000 CAD
The actual base salary offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.  
This role is eligible to participate in discretionary incentive plan(s), subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan text.
