HR Business Partner

We’re looking for a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to be based in Pune, India. This person would take on a role that’s both strategic and hands-on. Successful candidates will have a solid HR background, be able to operate as a standalone HRBP, have strong communication skills, and be eager to help elevate the HR function in India within an organization that is scaling. The HRBP will help drive change, coach management, and continuously improve the employee experience.

What you’ll do: 

• Establish and build strong relationships with key leaders in the India locations to deliver business aligned HR solutions that are congruent with business goals and objectives
• Manage employee relations, drive engagement, and be a culture ambassador to create a high morale work environment
• Partnering with the broader people team on performance review cycles, talent assessments, compensation and internal mobility processes
• Executing new processes and policies. Our goal is to create trust with partners, operate more efficiently and equitably, and help enable incredible business outcomes
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and local labor laws across different IAS India offices (Pune, Delhi, Mumbai). 
• Providing guidance on complex employee issues (e.g., investigations, disciplinary actions) while ensuring compliance and fairness.  
• Works closely with management and employees to increase productivity and retention

What you'll need:

• Ideally 5-7 years of Human Resources experience, 3+ years in an HRBP role
• An understanding of India Labour Laws and Corporate Laws
• Experience working with different verticals and Business Units
• Ideally worked in the Technology or related Industry 
• Incredible discretion: you can be trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information
• A strong bias to action. You’re comfortable working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; PHR or SPHR Certification preferred
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong customer service background 
• Familiarity with HRIS systems (experience with Workday is preferred)
