In this role, you will build strong partnerships with business leaders to understand their specific business needs and apply a data-driven approach to progressing the talent agenda, promoting workforce optimization and ensuring an exceptional user experience supported by efficient and modern HR solutions. You will enable HARMAN to proactively align talent strategies with business objectives, fostering innovation, agility and sustainable growth. You will report to People Leader for Engineering. What You Will Do:
- Own the relationship with business leaders by connecting with curiosity, purpose and impact asking the right questions, coaching, and influencing them on HR matters
- Understand business strategies and translate them into actionable talent initiatives that drive bottom line results and progress the talent agenda
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand division nuances and advise on tailored solutions to meet their needs and create an exceptional user experience
- Identify interconnectedness of components within the HR function and propose recommendations that address root causes of talent trends/issues
- Generate insights through data and evidence to identify trends, patterns and correlations and create talent strategies to advance the talent agenda
- Promote workforce optimization through workforce planning and culture initiatives
- Reinforce adoption of existing technology and identify opportunities to further enhance automation and self-service capabilities
- Identify and translate business needs and priorities to the COEs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in HR
- Ability to operate in a highly matrixed, global and diverse environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills across leadership and employee-representative environments
- Demonstrable skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching and strategic consulting
- Proficiency in project management, financial oversight, business acumen, budgetary
- Experience in employee-relations matters such as union and workers council engagement
- Knowledge of local HR law and legislation and ability to work across countries to ensure legal compliance
- Structured, execution-focused, and comfortable working in complex and fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills in speech and writing
- Business/industry knowledge desired
- Professional HR certification desired (e.g. Six Sigma, project management, professional training, change management)
- Additional language skills
- Be willing to work in a hybrid environment and come into in an office located in US 3 days a week.
