We need a sophisticated Sr. HR Business Partner (P5) to support our U.S. Product and Engineering (R&D) teams—the technical heartbeat of our company.
The RoleYou will be the primary HR strategist and organizational consultant for our world-class engineers, product visionaries, and cloud architects. This is a high-impact, strategic role where you will partner directly with executive R&D leadership to design scalable org structures, foster technical talent density, and align people strategy with our rapid product evolution and AI roadmap.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Strategic R&D & AI Partnership: Act as the lead HR consultant for U.S. Product and Engineering, aligning workforce planning and talent strategy with ambitious AI platform roadmaps, identity security innovations, and cloud release cycles.
Strategic Organizational Design (OD): Lead complex structural org design initiatives—including engineering pod structures, spans and layers optimization, and technical team realignments—to increase shipping velocity and maximize post-funding scale.
Organizational Development (ODev) & Technical Pathways: Diagnose capability gaps and execute targeted ODev programs. Refine dual-track technical career matrices (IC vs. Management tracks), cultivate technical leadership pipelines, and drive high talent density across R&D.
Global R&D Collaboration: Partner closely with global HR counterparts to ensure seamless alignment, communication, and operational efficiency between U.S. Product/Architecture leaders and international/offshore R&D centers.
Targeted Performance & Retention: Drive end-to-end performance engineering cycles and design tailored retention strategies specifically calibrated for high-demand AI, Identity (IAM), and Cloud Security engineering talent.
Competitive Technical Rewards: Partner with Talent Acquisition and Compensation to benchmark and structure competitive total rewards models that attract and retain top-tier software and security engineers.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize R&D productivity analytics, engineering turnover trends, and engagement metrics to proactively diagnose organizational health and influence leadership decision-making.
Engineering Leadership Coaching: Provide expert guidance and candid coaching to engineering directors and managers on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, complex employee relations, and scaling technical culture.
WHAT YOU BRING
Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field; SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or formal Org Design/Development certification preferred.
Tech & Cyber Context: 8+ years of progressive HRBP experience, with a proven track record supporting high-growth Engineering, Product, or R&D organizations in B2B Enterprise SaaS, Cybersecurity, Identity (IAM), or AI platform environments.
Mastery in Org Design & Development: Demonstrated success in leading structural OD initiatives (re-architecting tech pods, spans/layers analysis) and building comprehensive ODev frameworks (engineering career matrices, manager development).
Global Engineering Co-Development: Direct experience supporting U.S. technical teams that co-develop alongside large international/offshore engineering hubs across multiple time zones.
Analytical Rigor: Highly analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and workforce metrics to solve complex technical talent challenges.
Executive Presence & Influence: Strong business acumen with the confidence to challenge, coach, and guide technical executives and engineering leaders through rapid organizational change.
