The Role

Ready to join the future of work?

Come join a remote and hybrid first*, global company spanning across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa for A Job That Works for You. You will become among 900+ Guardians worldwide spread across 50+ countries, embracing YOUR unique approach to work. 🌎

Our vision of the future of work is “work in any way” which offers flexibility for where you work, empowering you to define your ideal work environment, unbound by the traditional notions of what work should look like. Most importantly, it puts people first! 🤩

(*As standard we are a remote-first company, however some roles are required to have more of an office presence - we are happy to confirm this during our initial call 😊)

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to support our EMEA region. This hands-on role provides full-cycle HR support to business leaders, partnering closely with internal teams to deliver people strategies, drive employee engagement, and minimise business risk.

You’ll play a key role in shaping and sustaining our culture, supporting organisational change, and leading HR initiatives over multiple countries. In addition to day-to-day operational support, you’ll contribute to global projects and help drive continuous improvement across HR processes and practices.

How you will make a difference:

  • Act as the primary HR contact for local leaders in the EMEA region, providing day-to-day operational support and escalating issues as needed
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on motivating teams, setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and managing employee relations, including disciplinary processes, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to align on role requirements, priorities, and budgets across the EMEA region
  • Deliver a consistent, engaging onboarding experience that reflects our culture and supports new hire success
  • Support EMEA managers in the consistent application of company policies and procedures, seeking legal guidance and input from local HR providers as needed
  • Guide managers and employees through the offboarding and exit process with professionalism and compliance
  • Identify and support HR needs across training, workforce planning, career development, and leadership growth, offering tailored solutions
  • Partner with line managers to deliver training initiatives, collaborating with Safeguard Global University (SGU) where appropriate
  • Liaise with local HR providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll and benefits processing across the EMEA region
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices by maintaining up-to-date records, monitoring legal changes, and mitigating risk
  • Maintain HR documentation, processes, and practices in line with labour law
  • Support the EMEA HR Director in analysing people metrics (e.g. retention, engagement) to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Assist with compensation and benefits analysis, including benchmarking, salary reviews, and changes to job structures
  • Deliver HR reporting and analytics to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead or contribute to employee engagement initiatives and cultural activities that support a positive workplace
  • Lead or support regional and global HR projects, as assigned

What will make you stand out:

  • Fluent in verbal and written English is mandatory. Additional language skills are advantageous
  • Proven HR Generalist or HRBP experience, supporting diverse teams across multiple EMEA countries
  • Experience with full employee lifecycle support, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, offboarding, and talent development
  • Strong knowledge of local labour law, with the ability to quickly understand and apply employment regulations in other countries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and build relationships across all levels of the business
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present insights to support decision-making
  • Confident using HRIS systems, reporting tools, and HR metrics
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams, functions, and cultures, as well as independently when needed
  • Experienced in supporting or leading cross-functional projects and initiatives
