Description:This position supports all of our medical group practices throughout the region (CT and Western MA) as well as Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT.

Position Purpose
Serves in a leadership role providing strategic direction, vision, and guidance in the integration of the Human Resource strategies, operations and services in order to advance and align strategy and structure with talent to achieve organizational goals. Includes client support for the ministries and business functions in that HR region/location. Partners with regional (field) based Talent Acquisition, Organizational Effectiveness, Colleague Labor Relations, and Total Rewards.
What you will do

Serve as a key trusted advisor and provide guidance on leadership development, performance management, talent management, organization alignment, culture and colleague engagement

Collaborate with leaders in understanding and shaping business system requirements and translating such into specific Human Resource actions and initiatives

Collaborate with system Centers of Expertise (COEs) in leading strategy and approach for complex transitions including organization design, change management, and MD&A transitions

Support the Human Resource regional (field) structure, which includes client support for the ministries and business functions in the Human Resource HRMSA in order to ensure a single system programs

Partner with Centers of Expertise (COEs) resources, providing problem resolution, reporting, negotiating, consulting, implementing initiatives, and supporting general HR services

Partner with Regional CHRO - Human Resource Ministry Service Area (HRMSA) on ministry, regional, system or national effective management programs and communication

Support the delivery and effectiveness of training services for all Human Resource programs and initiatives

Ensure appropriate Human Resource information is provided to business leaders

Mentor leaders by providing performance assessment, coaching, guidance and feedback on professional development and quality performance

Determine appropriate measures/metrics needed to provide on-going assessment of change management and process/performance improvement

Analyze and present workforce measures/metrics to regional business leaders for use in resolving issues and driving business decisions
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or MA) preferred

Seven (7) or more years' progressively responsible experience in Human Resource Management managing various Human Resource functional areas

Experience in health care-- specifically medical group practices-- strongly preferred

Diplomacy and tact, ability to read the subtle nuances of situation and react/plan accordingly

Ability to embrace improved technological solutions and innovations

Project management skills
-
Ability to successfully influence and negotiate within all levels of the organization

Extensive knowledge of organization development and process improvement
