The Associate Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for working in an HR Generalist capacity to support the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. This role is ideal for an HR Generalist who enjoys working across multiple areas of human resources, including HR reporting, employee relations, data analytics, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement. The HR Generalist will work in conjunction with the HR Business Partners to resolve a full range of complex employee relations matters and ensure that program operation practices are aligned with the company’s policies and procedures. The Associate HR Business Partner will collaborate within the HR Department to help build a company culture that reflects the company’s core values and objectives as well as serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation for management including random drug screening, LOA reports, retention, etc.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and corrective action documentation.
- Support performance management processes, including evaluations, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
- Maintain employee records and HR information systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Partner with HRBPs on employee exit surveys, new hire surveys and unemployment.
- Coordinate leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other employee leave programs.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
- Develop and implement employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Assist with policy development, handbook updates, and HR process improvements.
- Participate in training programs and support organizational development initiatives.
- Coordinate benefits open enrollment, answer employee payroll and benefit questions, and communicate changes.
- Maintain strong skills in managing multiple priorities, organizing time, communication and confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university required
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Human Resource Generalist experience or in a specialty HR discipline in a mid-to-large company
- Healthcare HR experience a plus
- Working knowledge of the regulatory/statutory environment as it relates to employment laws and regulations
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain security clearance for correctional facility access
- Up to 25% travel within Florida
