Primary Purpose of Position:

Provide assistance in the delivery of superior service to internal clients on key initiatives including global compensation, HR operations, benefits, learning and development, culture and engagement initiatives.
Provide support to the Global Shared Services Team in the fulfilment of HR service delivery agreement through accurate, timely and efficient administration of SMEC/SJ Global HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high quality HR services, including onboarding, offboarding, expat management (for international assignments)
2. Maintain and update with high accuracy employee records in SAP and other employee data record platforms
3. Support implementation of various processes, programs, upgrades and improvement activities which are HR related
4. Ensure accuracy in process documentation, including updating and creating Work Instructions that adherences to the current process
5. Provide basic service and support on minor issues relating to defined HR processes as assigned by Senior HR Specialist, Team Leader and/or Manager
6. Optimise the use of current HR systems
7. Support technology implementations, upgrades and process improvement activities that relate to HR
8. Ensure output is in line with the SMEC/SJ templates, ensuring adherence to SMEC’s/SJ’s Business Management System (BMS) guidelines and standards
9. Act as a backup for other facets of EDM for a specific HR processes in case there’s a need (i.e. bulk requests, team members going on leave)
10.Maintain data integrity of information held in the systems through auditing and resolution of issues. Provide additional support to the Corporate HR team as and when required covering HR-focused reporting and ad hoc tasks

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in a relevant field
2. 1 to 2 years’ related experience within a Shared Services Environment
3. Candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter, be able to demonstrate competence in technical problem solving and must also be able to work under pressure both individually and as part of the team
4. Proven interpersonal and communication skills
5. Must be analytical, hardworking, a team player and must support the concept of “fun” in the workplace
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
7. Effective time management, administrative documentation and organizational skills.
8. Customer Service-oriented providing proactive solutions and alternatives
9. Must possess excellent written and verbal business communication and presentation skills

Skills Required
