The Role

Description

We are seeking a motivated and organized onsite Part-Time Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in HR operations while contributing to a positive workplace environment. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred, helping us better serve our diverse workforce and community. This is a great opportunity for those looking to get into the Human Resources field.

Summary: The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the HR team by completing various clerical tasks. Acts as the first point of contact in the Human Resources office.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  

· Audits employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality 

· Tracks attendance and disciplinary actions

· Completes all verification of employment forms received

· Runs monthly MVRs for driver files

· Keeps DOT drug testing program up to date with current roster

· Creates and posts company newsletter

· Performs exit interviews

· Creates ID badges

· Assists the recruiter with orientation tasks 

· Assists when needed with employee relations

· Helps employees access company resources (Paylocity and other platforms)

· Supports administrative tasks such as filing, distributing mail, etc. 

· Performs other duties as assigned

Schedule

Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm, Friday 9am-2pm (willing to discuss flexibility with hours)

Requirements

Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in Human Resources preferred. Administrative experience is required.

Training, Skills, Licenses: English/Spanish Bilingual preferred, but not required. Excellent time management and organization skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in MS Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail orientated with strong problem-solving skills. Experience with Paylocity is a plus. Flexibility to work part-time hours as required.

Working Conditions: This position is located in an office environment with moderate to low noise levels and is typically sedentary. Daily use of a computer and phone system is necessary as well as interaction with staff, candidates and vendors.
