The HR Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department.   1. Key Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.
    • Assist with recruiting and hiring activities, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews.
    • Review applications and resumes and help coordinate candidate communications.
    • Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
    • Prepare new-hire paperwork and assist with onboarding and orientation.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
    • Enter and update employee information in HR systems and databases.
    • Assist with tracking attendance, time off, and employee records.
    • Support payroll by verifying timesheets and providing required employee information.
    • Assist employees with questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and company programs.
    • Help administer employee benefits and communicate enrollment information.
    • Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, letters, forms, and other documents.
    • Assist with employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
    • Maintain accurate records of employee certifications, training, and required documentation.
    • Assist with compliance-related paperwork and HR audits.
    • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
    • Coordinate meetings, orientations, training sessions, and HR events.
    • Communicate professionally with employees, applicants, managers, and external vendors.
    • Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and general administrative duties.
    • Assist HR management with special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
    • Previous administrative, office, customer service, or HR experience preferred.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
    • Basic computer and data-entry skills.
    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
    • Professional and approachable communication style.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, recruiting, or office administration experience.
    • Familiarity with HRIS platforms.
    • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
    • Knowledge of basic employment policies and HR procedures.
    • Experience with payroll or benefits administration.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
