Job Title: Business Process Intern
Location: Hybrid- Eastwood Office
Shift: Flexible
Duration: 3 months minimum
Work schedule: flexible
Purpose of the Role
To support HR and cross-functional teams in building lightweight, no-code automations and internal tools using AI platforms (primarily Claude) — reducing manual, repetitive work in HR operations, reporting, and documentation. Ideal for someone curious about AI tools, prompt design, and turning messy manual processes into simple, reusable workflows.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Powered Workflow Building:
- Use Claude to build simple internal tools — trackers, calculators, dashboards, and report generators.
- Design reusable prompt templates for recurring HR tasks (e.g., generating reports, drafting communications, summarizing data).
- Connect Claude to existing systems to automate data pulls, formatting, and summarization where possible.
Process Identification:
- Shadow HR/Ops teams to identify repetitive, manual tasks that could be streamlined with AI-assisted workflows.
- Document current process steps before and after automation to show time/effort saved.
Tool Development & Testing:
- Build and test small Claude-based artifacts (e.g., interactive calculators, form-based generators, data visualizers) for internal HR use.
- Iterate on prompts and tool designs based on feedback from actual users (HR team, TA, L&D).
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Create simple guides on how to use each tool/automation built, so non-technical team members can adopt them independently.
- Maintain a log of prompts, templates, and tools created for reuse across the HR team.
Data Handling & Confidentiality:
- Follow data minimization practices — never input more employee/candidate data into any tool than a task strictly requires.
- Flag any process that would require exposing sensitive HR data (PHI/PII) to external tools, and route those to Kent for review before proceeding.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR, TA, and L&D teams to understand recurring pain points and translate them into simple automation ideas.
- Present finished tools/workflows to the team and gather feedback for iteration.
Work Schedule & Availability:
- Commit to an assigned shift as required.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Skills Required
- Familiarity with Claude or similar AI platforms
- Experience or strong interest in prompt design and AI-assisted workflows
- Ability to build no-code automations and simple internal tools (trackers, calculators, dashboards)
- Experience documenting processes and creating user guides for non-technical users
- Adherence to data minimization and confidentiality practices; flagging PHI/PII exposures
- Collaborative communication with HR, TA, and L&D teams and willingness to iterate based on feedback
- Ability to work hybrid at the Eastwood office and commit to assigned shift with regular attendance
- Availability for a minimum three-month internship duration
