Job Description:

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a HR Analyst, Employee Lifecycle. The HR Analyst, Employee Lifecycle is an entry-level operational role responsible for the accurate and timely processing of day-to-day employee lifecycle transactions for APACI countries within the Kuala Lumpur HR Shared Services Centre. Working under the guidance of the regional Employee Lifecycle team, the role supports the full hire-to-retire cycle — including onboarding, job and data changes, employee movements, benefits administration and offboarding — by executing transactions in Workday and related systems with a strong focus on data accuracy, quality, and adherence to defined procedures and SLAs.

This position serves as a first point of contact for routine employee and manager queries, ensuring requests are handled professionally, escalated appropriately, and resolved within agreed service levels. It is a learning-oriented role designed for a fresh graduate or early-career professional to build foundational HR operations expertise, develop process discipline, and grow within a multi-country shared services environment. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage to support employee populations across Greater China.

This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a HR Analyst, Employee Lifecycle, you will:

A. Employee Lifecycle Transaction Processing

Process day-to-day employee lifecycle transactions in Workday — new hires and onboarding, job changes, organizational and personal data updates, transfers, employee movements, and offboarding — accurately and within agreed timelines.

Perform personnel data administration and maintain complete, up-to-date employee records in line with company policy and local country requirements.

Prepare standard HR letters and documentation (e.g., confirmation, transfer, and employment verification letters) using approved templates.

Support benefits administration and other routine lifecycle activities as assigned.

Partner with Payroll, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth completion of employee lifecycle activities.

B. Employee & Manager Support – Tier-1 Case Handling

Act as a first point of contact for routine employee and manager enquiries received via the case management/ticketing tool, email, or phone, providing clear and courteous responses.

Resolve straightforward requests within SLA and escalate complex or non-standard cases to senior team members or the Team Lead with appropriate context.

Update and close cases accurately, ensuring proper categorization and timely follow-through.

C. Data Quality, Accuracy & Compliance

Verify the accuracy and completeness of data entered, applying the required checks and validation steps before transactions are finalized.

Adhere to standard operating procedures, data privacy requirements, and internal controls in all lifecycle activities.

Flag data discrepancies, errors, or recurring issues to senior team members for review and correction.

D. Documentation & Knowledge Support

Follow Desktop Procedures (DTP) and country-specific requirements when processing transactions to ensure consistency and quality.

Highlight outdated or unclear process documentation and support the team in keeping knowledge articles and procedures current.

Build and maintain personal process knowledge through on-the-job learning and training.

E. Continuous Improvement & Reporting Support

Assist in preparing routine operational reports and trackers as required.

Contribute ideas for simplifying or improving day-to-day processes and participate in team improvement activities.

Support ad-hoc HRSSC projects, audits, user acceptance testing (UAT), process changes, system enhancement activities and initiatives as assigned.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?
