The HR Advisor is responsible for supporting HR activities within CF Industries, Inc. including but not limited to, recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation and performance management. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for leading various HR projects and process improvements in support of CF’s strategic initiatives. This includes enhancing how we deliver HR services to the organization; streamlining, standardizing and simplifying existing programs and processes within HR; and enhancing the use of data analytics to drive business decisions.
II. Major Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support on HR policies and programs. This includes topics related, but not limited to, people strategies and organizational design, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, training and development, and staffing.
- Provide HR support for employees and managers in multiple business segments
- Coach and mentor managers on dealing with performance issues
- Investigate employee relations and conduct issues as needed
- Collaborate with all functional areas of Human Resources to provide HR support where needed.
- Plan and conduct employee orientation including completion of all new hire paperwork and training.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Responsible for the execution and control of HR related projects, ensuring solid understanding of the process and system design for which the project is delivering
- Lead project planning and monitoring, manage risk, look for opportunities to implement best practices, communicate with the team and perform any other tasks required to keep the project within the specified budget and delivered on time. Reports status, risk and issues to appropriate HR owner.
- Partner with Project Owner and SMEs within HR, IT and Manufacturing to identify and deliver solutionsthat achieve project objectives aligned with the company’s strategy
- Ability to engage stakeholders from all aspects of the business on key initiatives, change impacts, etc.
- Interact with process owners, vendors, and key stakeholders to drive discussions, solution issues or agree on key decisions
- Champions change to drive key initiatives across the business

IV. Incumbent Attributes:
- Education: BS/BA in a related field or equivalent experience typically required to complete all essential job functions
- Years of experience: Typically, 2 or more years of related professional work experience is required to complete all essential job functions.
- Other unique job relevant attributes:
- Strong working knowledge of human resource practices, procedures, principles and strategies
- Technical knowledge of Workday (preferred) or similar system, and ability to effectively use the data to provide analytic interpretation
- Must possess strong Project Management skills
- Must be comfortable speaking with C-suite stakeholders
- Ability to effectively communicate (in writing and verbally) and provided training to all levels of organization
- Ability to work with confidential information appropriately

- Financial Accountability: Decisions made may impact profit or loss however decisions are governed by organizational policies and not personal independent actions
- Strategic Influence: May impact the execution or achievement of short-term strategic initiatives but is not involved in the planning process.
