About your team

The Japan HR team has five employees to manage all matters related to Human Resources of FIL Investment (Japan) Limited, FIL Securities (Japan) K.K., and FIL Japan Holdings K.K.

Our people are our most valuable asset. We support effective management and development of employees through having oversight of all aspects of human capital management. We do this by working collaboratively with our Center of Excellence (COE) teams across the region, including talent acquisition, talent management and development, compensation and benefits and employee relations.

About your role
The HR Advisor will be supporting the Head of HR and other HRBPS in Japan and responsible for a diverse range of HR functions, including data analysis, regulatory reporting, responding to general employee inquiries, drafting announcement to employees, planning and delivering induction, payroll support, wellbeing initiatives, experience/ campus recruiting, DEI and supporting the HRBPs in Japan. This position requires excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented approach, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

There will be career progression opportunity to expand the role to become a junior HRBP in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Various Reporting:

  • Submit Rules of Employment, 36 Agreement, Annual Health check results, Attendance record, Enabled employee status report and any other reports to government offices.
  • Produce and analyse HR data for Japanese regulators and the Japan Operating Committee.

Employee Support:

  • Proactively deal with inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Plan and deliver induction sessions for new joiners.
  • Draft HR announcement for employees in English and Japanese including monthly Spot Award management.

Payroll and Benefits Administration:

  • Social security, insurance and payroll related support working with relevant teams when necessary.
     

Health and Wellbeing Initiatives:

  • Arrange mandatory wellbeing initiatives, including stress checks and flu shot announcements.
  • Manage industrial doctor arrangement, organize monthly health committee meetings, and take meeting minutes.
     

Experience and Campus Recruiting Support:

  • Provide local support for recruiting working with Business, Talent Acquisition team and HR Business Partners.
     

Diversity Equity and Inclusion:

  • Lead the DEI - LGBT+ network in Japan to organize and facilitate events. Vendor registration, including communication with the procurement team as needed.
