About the Role:
This role is suited to someone with a solid HR foundation who is confident managing day to day people matters, providing practical advice, and building strong relationships across the business. You will be supported by the HR Business Partner on more complex matters while further developing your HR capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support employee relations matters, including performance management, misconduct, grievances and workplace investigations, with coaching and guidance from the HR Business Partner.
- Provide HR advice and support to line managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
- Coordinate and deliver a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
- Assist with remuneration reviews, reward processes, and Enterprise Agreement interpretation.
- Maintain accurate employment records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
- Support recruitment activities across the business when required.
- Assist with ad-hoc HR projects.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Coordinator, or HR Generalist role.
- Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and employee relations principles.
- Confidence managing routine people matters and providing practical HR support to line managers and employees.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence and build credibility with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, industrial services, or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
- Experience using HRIS platforms is desirable.

Due to the nature of the projects supported by this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and be able to satisfy Defence security and site access requirements.
