We’re seeking an HR/Admin Officer to support the full scope of Human Resources and Administrative functions within a factory environment. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient HR operations, regulatory compliance, employee relations, expatriate documentation, and day-to-day administrative support while promoting a productive and compliant workplace.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities for technical, factory, and administrative positions.
- Facilitate employee onboarding, induction, probation, and confirmation processes.
- Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, transfer letters, promotion letters, and other HR correspondence.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases in both physical and electronic formats.
- Manage leave administration, attendance records, and timekeeping systems.
- Support payroll preparation and statutory deductions.
- Assist with performance management, employee appraisals, training, and development programmes.
- Maintain training records and monitor compliance with mandatory training schedules.
- Promote positive employee relations and assist in resolving grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Coordinate employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
- Manage expatriate documentation and ensure compliance with Nigerian immigration regulations.
- Coordinate the processing and renewal of expatriate quotas, CERPAC, business permits, visas, and other immigration documents.
- Liaise with relevant government agencies on expatriate matters.
- Maintain expatriate records and monitor document expiration dates.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws, factory regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Support regulatory inspections and maintain HR compliance documentation.
- Coordinate office and factory administrative operations.
- Manage office supplies, assets, inventory, facility maintenance, utilities, cleaning, waste management, and security operations.
- Arrange travel logistics, accommodation, transportation, and visitor management.
- Support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives.
- Maintain records of employee medical examinations, PPE issuance, safety drills, and employee welfare activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resources and Administration within a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Hands-on experience managing expatriate and immigration-related processes.
- Experience in payroll administration and employee relations.
- Knowledge of factory operations and compliance requirements is an added advantage.
- Professional certification such as CIPM, PHRi, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
- Relevant HSE certification is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labor Laws and employment practices.
- Good understanding of Nigerian immigration regulations and expatriate management.
- Knowledge of payroll administration and statutory remittances.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
