The position
As a Frontend Engineer, you will work on building features in our different services, helping to grow the enterprise applications used by Jobandtalent customers to manage their workforce effectively. For that, we use the best that the modern Frontend stack can offer: TypeScript, React, Server Side Rendering, Serverless, obligatory Unit Testing, our very own Design System in Storybook, just to name a few.
Responsibilities:
- Gain knowledge and development skills through practice and challenges, improving yourself and the teams' skills
- Get involved and become a part of the team to learn and understand the product and learn from their experience
- Work on the foundation of the app design system
- You like to be involved in a project composed of hundreds of co-workers, both technical and not technical, and willing to collaborate with them
- You already know that having an incredible work environment is a matter for each of us, and collaborating is key to maintaining it.
Requirements:
- Professional and demonstrable software development experience, preferably web and API development
- You are fluent in CSS, HTML, Javascript and React
- You are objective when dealing with challenges
- You have a mindset of continuous improvement of yourself and the rest of the team based on your own and others' feedback
- You like to think about the business impact of your work and want to get ownership and hold yourself and others accountable for their work
- You master git and the GitHub workflow, which we use extensively at Jobandtalent
- You have experience creating unit tests, preferably with Jest and React Testing Library
Nice to have:
- You have worked with Figma, Next.js and Tailwind
- You have worked with an in-house design system and Storybook
- You are familiar with CI/CD setups, preferably GitHub Actions
- You are familiar with OpenAPI Specifications
- You have heard of Micro Frontends and distributed systems
- You have heard of what Kotlin or Ruby on Rails are
- You have heard of what a relational database like Postgres is, what a non-relational database like Redis is, and what a cloud environment like Amazon Web Services is
