This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description:
At HPC AI Labs we focus on cutting edge, high-performance, high-scale customer solutions serving a wide range of industries and end-users. Our organization includes High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and NonStop.
The HPE NonStop system provides an advanced, fault-tolerant architecture for mission-critical applications, ensuring 24/7 uptime with no single point of failure. It offers linear scalability, supporting large-scale, real-time transaction processing with built-in data integrity and security. Leveraging a fully integrated stack, NonStop systems enable seamless deployment and management of distributed applications, optimized for high availability and massive workloads.
Key features include a multi-core, shared-nothing design, redundant components, and sophisticated clustering capabilities. The NonStop system also includes a comprehensive software stack up to an integrated SQL database, all developed and maintained as 100% HPE intellectual property. This ensures complete control and optimization without reliance on external operating systems like Windows or Linux.
We are also transitioning to a full solution sales approach, integrating our NonStop systems with partner software and managed services to offer a full SaaS/cloud experience to our customers. In a typical day as NonStop Solution Architect you:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the NonStop solution domain, products, services, and solutions as well as the customer’s technical and business environment, and industries notably Financial Services and Retail Payments.
- Deliver compelling presentations and demos addressing specific customer pain points, requirements and expectations - linking the technical features of our solutions with tangible benefits.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and channel partners– acting as a trusted advisor guiding them on products and solutions to best meet their needs, highlighting technical alternatives and possible shortcomings.
- Produces in-depth comparative analysis of alternative approaches to meet solution requirements.
- Develops, configures, and right sizes an optimal workload solution, balancing cost, scope, scale, boundaries, and benefits to deliver superior value and increase the win rate.
- Monitors the account pipeline and nurtures active deals from the opportunity to close.
- Uses pipeline insights to help prioritize activities in a way that ensures time, and resources are invested wisely in pursuit of deals with the highest potential.
- Collaborate with account teams both at HPE and Channel Partner to pursue an opportunity, respond to tenders, develop strategies to counter competitive threats, and design and size solutions.

If you have these Skills, Expertise, Attitude and Education…
- First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications. Advanced degree in technology preferred
- 8–12 years of technical experience in IT with a focus on technical consulting and solution selling
- Knowledge-base as well as experience in relevant industry sectors strongly preferred, notably Financial Services and/or Manufacturing
- Enterprise architecture frameworks and project management methodologies and certifications are helpful, but not required
- Experience participating in and leading solution configurations and the creation of demos and proofs-of-concept (POC) to meet customer requirements
- Resource management skills, including how and when to effectively engage SMEs/specialists.
- Ability to design and develop a playbook for demonstrations or walk throughs of products, solutions, tools, or service
- Ability to deliver live demonstrations or walk throughs of products, solutions, tools, or service to customers, partners, and other stakeholders
- Project and time management knowledge or experience with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including appropriate due diligence
- Taking pride in being knowledgeable on leading-edge and emerging technologies in the industry and enjoy meeting new customers and partners to talk tech
- Excellence in communicating and presenting – both in German (fluent) and English (good proficiency)
