Immediate Supervisor: Housekeeping Supervisor and Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary:

Provide support to the housekeeping team members to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the resorts guest rooms and public areas.  Includes removing linen and trash in all rooms in assigned sections and restocking room attendant carts throughout the shift.  Give exceptional guest service.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and environment in which high standards of customer service and quality exist for our guests.
  • Responsible for the cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, guest areas, service areas and linen closets.
  • Ensure the stocking of linen closets, room attendant carts and cleaning supplies are done in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Ensure that rollaway beds and cribs are clean and sanitized.
  • Assist with cleaning rooms or laundry when needed.
  • Report any maintenance or safety deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all safety requirements of the job and company policies.
  • Respond to guest and co-worker requests within 10 minutes of the call.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in person and over the radio.
  • Put the needs of the customer first while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Acknowledge all guests and co-workers within 15 feet and speak to them within 5 feet.
  • Exemplify the Dolphin Hotel Management Standards of Excellence.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Necessary Skills and Attributes:

Excellent verbal, comprehension, and listening ability.

Guest and co-worker relations.

Ability to multi-task and set priorities.

 

Formal Education:

High School Graduate or equivalent.

 

Experience:

1 years hotel housekeeping or similar industry preferred

Will train on the job.

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to sit, stand, bend, walk, use ladders, push carts.  Use of hands to finger or feel objects, tools or controls, lift boxes, bags and supplies, lift weight up to 50 pounds.  Talk, hear and have vision abilities to be able to see dirt, hair and other debris.  Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions including cold, heat and rain.

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year hotel housekeeping or similar industry experience
  • Excellent verbal, comprehension, and listening ability
