SUMMARY
The Houseperson ("El/la Asistente de Recamarero/a") ensures the Room Attendants' ability to provide service that meets or exceeds our guests' expectations by efficiently executing their duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and a service-oriented attitude toward guests and team members always.
- Ensures Room Attendants are consistently supplied with the necessary materials and equipment to perform their duties effectively.
- Replenishes in-room amenities as needed while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Maintains linen rooms and Room Attendants’ carts in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition.
- Ensures company equipment is clean, properly maintained, and in good working order.
- Assists Room Attendants with moving or lifting heavy items when necessary.
- Collects soiled linens from checkout rooms as directed by the supervisor.
- Prepare guestrooms for VIP arrivals and show rooms according to established priorities.
- Performs guestroom window cleaning in accordance with productivity and quality standards.
- Empties Room Attendants’ carts of soiled linens and trash and transports them to designated areas.
- Maintains cleanliness of guest corridors, elevators, sidewalks, and stairways.
- Completes special cleaning projects as assigned by the supervisor.
- Handles cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with established safety standards and procedures.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
- Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
- The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
