Lake Blackshear Resort / Georgia Veterans State Park, located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for Housekeepers. Lake Blackshear Resort has 24 Villa rooms, 10 lake cabins and 82 camp sites located on beautiful 8800-acre cypress lake with restaurant, bar, off site fitness center, conference center, marina with a lake restaurant, 18 hole-golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, fishing and more. We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor, this position assists room attendants with supplies, linen and removal of trash.

Essential Functions:

  • Empties dirty linen and trash from room attendant carts.
  • Strips check-out rooms. Removes dirty linen and trash.
  • Takes trash out to dumpster.
  • Collect dirty glasses and coffee mugs and deliver clean ones to floors.
  • Ensure linen closets are properly stocked.
  • Checks hallway wall for scuff marks; removes marks from walls.
  • Cleans grills and vents in guests hallways.
  • Delivers and removes mobile sleepers and other items from guest rooms as needed.
  • Brings down all dirty linen to laundry area.
  • Alerts F&B to any room service trays left on floors.
  • Assists Housekeepers where needed.
  • Makes a final check on all floors for room service trays.

Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
