The Bald Head Island Club is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Houseman to support our Events team. This position plays a key role in the setup, breakdown, and overall presentation of weddings, banquets, member events, and private functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, team-focused, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Essential Responsibilities- Set up and break down event spaces (tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, décor, etc.)
- Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and event-ready
- Assist with moving equipment and furniture as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and back-of-house spaces
- Respond promptly to event team requests during functions
- Support banquet and operations teams to ensure smooth event execution
- Follow safety guidelines and proper lifting procedures
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Team player with good communication skills
- Previous hospitality or event experience preferred but not required
Part-time hours based on event schedule. Evening and weekend availability is required.
