The Houseperson keeps Banana Bay spotless and guest-ready. You’ll maintain public areas and back-of-house spaces, deliver and stock linens/supplies, support Room Attendants, and respond to guest requests—all while following safety and cleanliness standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPublic Areas & Back-of-House

Clean and refresh lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, fitness/pool areas, and BOH corridors (sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, trash, glass, surfaces).

Perform periodic/deep-clean tasks: carpet extraction, floor care, vents, baseboards, furniture, and patio/walkway upkeep.

Maintain neat, hazard-free areas; promptly remove debris and wet floor hazards; set out wet floor signage.
Linen, Supplies & Support

Distribute and stage linens/terry and amenities to closets and carts; maintain par levels and organization.

Collect soiled linen, bag and transport to laundry; assist with folding and staging as needed.

Support Room Attendants with deliveries (cribs, rollaways, amenities) and quick turns for priority rooms.
Guest Service

Greet guests warmly; respond to requests (extra towels, pillows, etc.) and escalate service recovery to leadership when needed.

Protect privacy and property; follow key control and Do Not Disturb policies.
Safety, Compliance & Maintenance

Use chemicals and equipment safely; follow PPE/OSHA/SDS guidelines.

Report maintenance issues via radio/CMMS (e.g., HotSOS/Quore) and tag areas out of service when required.

Assist with emergency procedures (spill response, power outages, evacuations) as directed.
Events & Projects

Set and reset meeting spaces and outdoor areas (chairs, tables, linens, water stations); support special events and seasonal projects.

Keep storage rooms, closets, and loading areas organized and compliant.
Documentation & Communication

Complete daily assignments and checklists; ensure carts/closets are stocked, clean, and secured.

Communicate status updates and handoffs clearly between shifts.

Prior housekeeping/houseperson or janitorial experience preferred; will train dependable candidates.

Able to follow written and verbal instructions; team-oriented with strong work ethic and reliability.

Comfortable using radios/mobile apps; basic knowledge of cleaning tools/equipment.

Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays; consistent, on-time attendance.
Physical Requirements

Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (linen bags, supply carts, furniture).
