Job Description- Job Title – In-house Commercial Solicitor
- Job Type - Permanent
- Location - Ellesmere Port
- Hours - 35 per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (Part time will be considered for the right person)
As a member of the UK legal team, you’ll assist in the provision of first line legal advice, support and training to a diverse range of businesses and functions, offering a practical and informed interpretation of the laws affecting SGS.
Key Accountabilities:
- Commercial Contracts
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, including supply and purchase agreements
- Liaising with stakeholders and developing management and mitigation strategies
- Property Portfolio
- Assisting in the management of the numerous offices, laboratories and workshops, with stakeholders and external advisors
- Litigation
- Assisting in the good management of complaints and claims, internally and with external counsel
- Regulatory and Compliance
- Supporting investigations
- Assisting with compliance programmes, policies and training
The ideal candidate for this role will be a confident contract drafter who can carry a full caseload without close supervision, remain calm under deadline pressure, with an eye for detail who builds good working relationships across a business, at all levels. Open to lawyers already in-house and to those in private practice
Qualifications Required:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum 3 years PQE
- Full driving license for use in the UK
