We're a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, and we're recruiting for part-time and full-time Hospitality Aide at our community in Olmsted Township, OH.

The Hospitality Aide helps create a welcoming, clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, families, and visitors. This non-clinical position supports residents by responding to requests, providing customer service, helping to maintain resident rooms and common areas, and communicating resident needs to the appropriate staff.

Schedule: 
Sunday-Saturday-Various days 
Every other weekend
6a-2p- or 2p-10p 

Every other weekend and rotating holidays are required.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with responding promptly and courteously to resident call lights.
  • Relay resident needs to the nurse or nursing assistant, or complete requests that fall within the Hospitality Aide’s authorized scope of duties.
  • Check in with all skilled nursing residents during each shift and promptly report concerns to the nurse manager or appropriate department manager.
  • Welcome new residents within 24 hours of admission and greet families and visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Help orient new residents to their rooms and familiarize them with the facility.
  • Assist with making beds, organizing and decluttering resident rooms, and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
  • Complete one scheduled water and snack pass per shift on each assigned floor.
  • Clean and disinfect non-clinical equipment and high-touch surfaces according to facility policies and procedures.
  • Assist with trash removal as needed.
  • Keep wheelchairs, walkers, and common areas clean, organized, and free of clutter.
  • Complete scheduled or assigned rounds as requested.
  • Assist with other non-clinical hospitality and customer-service duties as assigned.
  • Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, infection-control practices, and resident privacy requirements.
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, visitors, and members of the care team.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous hospitality, customer service, housekeeping, healthcare, or senior-living experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
  • Dependable, professional, and attentive to resident needs.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to protecting resident dignity, privacy, safety, and comfort.
  • In-depth interpersonal skills: demonstrated trust, integrity, compassion and ability to effectively deal with all types of people. 
  • Demonstrated honesty, patience, tact, and empathy.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Skills Required
